Buzice
Castle Jihočeský kraj · Czechia
Buzice (also known as Hrad) is a noble residence on the border between a fortified manor and a castle, located on the southwestern edge of the village of the same name near Blatná in the Strakonice District. It was founded on the left bank of the Lomnice River by members of the Buzický family from Buzice. The residence is traditionally classified as a fortified manor, but Tomáš Durdík classified it as a castle based on the extent of the building and its spatial relationship to the village, the existence of extensive fortifications, and the local name.
