The Pauline Monastery Complex in the town of Šaštín-Stráže is a heritage complex of sacred buildings, which mainly includes the Basilica of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, the building of the Pauline monastery, the Chapel of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, the economic buildings belonging to the monastery, the statue on the pedestal - the Šaštín Pieta, the statue on the Trinity Column, and the adjacent historical greenery. The construction of the complex is associated with the statue of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, which was declared miraculous on November 10, 1732, according to a canonical investigation and by the order of the Archbishop of Esztergom, Imre Esterházy.
