Uherský Ostroh is a castle converted from a fortress in the town of the same name in the Uherské Hradiště District. It was founded in the second half of the thirteenth century. Among its owners were, among others, the Moravian margraves, the Šternberks, and the Lords of Kunovice, who transformed the Gothic castle into a Renaissance chateau in the sixteenth century.
