Skála is the ruin of a castle located in the cadastral area of Zálesí near Příchovice (part of the municipality of Příchovice) in western Bohemia, not far from Přeštice in the Plzeň Region. The castle was the seat of the Švihov family from Rýzmberk. At the turn of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, it was besieged several times, and during its siege in 1399, the use of gunpowder weapons in Bohemia was mentioned for the first time.
