The Science and Technology Center (STC) is a project that originated in the Lower Vítkovice area in Ostrava, supported by European Union funds and the budget of the Czech Republic. This platform consists of two parts: the Small World of Technology (the interactive exhibition building U6), which focuses on the history of traditional technical fields, and the Large World of Technology (the STC building), which targets the present and future of scientific disciplines. The main idea of the project is to enhance the prestige of science and research, change the approach to technical fields, popularize them, and make them accessible to the general public.
